23 months old nap dilemma!

I posted a few weeks ago about my DD taking hours to go to sleep at night and tried cutting out her nap entirely this week to try. The good news is that she falls asleep like a dream in 5 min at night and sleeps through for 12 hours. The bad news is that she's exhausted and emotional during the day and days feel really long!

I feel bad when I see how tired she is but then I can't bare the the two hours of hell at bedtime when she does nap (even for 30 minutes, it's the same). She ends up sleeping 9-10 hours at best at night if she naps so I feel she needs a longer nap to have enough sleep overall.

All these sleep dilemmas are so tiring! What do you think? Will she get used to the new pace soon? Should I revert back to napping?

Power thru, bit of telly or bookreading on your lap after lunch where she gets a slight rest but you watch she doesn't actually sleep? Sometimes they are just grotty, that's life!

Also I had some friends who looked at naps weekly rather than daily - their toddler could manage with 1-2 naps a week but didn't need one every day, it caught up with them too much if they had none though.
