Strange red lines on babies leg... never seen it before? Have called the GP who said she will see him tomorrow (he has no temp or any other symptoms so she didnt sound concerned) but freaking out a bit. She said it sounds like circulation. It's not raised

Yes, it looks like mottled skin. We took DD to a n e because of it (she was in Bad shape otherwise as well). By the time we were seen the mottled skin had disappeared but she was diagnosed with croup and tonsillitis..I think it can be a sign of an infection.

How's your child doing? Do they have a bad cold or something? A temperature? I'd get them seen to be honest at least by a GP.

Sorry didn't read your message properly. Just realised you have already spoken to your GP.

From what I've learnt from.my two is as that as long they are fiarly.happy, ie.playinfx drinking and eating and having wet nappies it's probably nothing serious.

Mine often had mottled skin when little (maybe up to 4 months) but as he was otherwise well I didn’t worry.

He did have it with a nasty case of tonsillitis when he was 1 and he was really unwell so took him to GP, they said mottled skin can often happen after a temp change so if you’ve got them out of bath or took clothes off etc.

I personally wouldn’t worry if they’re are fine in themselves.

Thank you both ❤️ that's put my mind at ease a lot. He otherwise seems absolutely fine.
This mum thing is so stressful
