Hiya

My newborn is 4 weeks Saturday, she is adorable but I'm so exhausted, she is waking every hour to feed is this normal? She's only having little and often, she is bottle fed so i don't know if this is cluster feeding? She's only having no more than 50ml at a time and that's at a push but it's every hour??

Make sure she is warm add another onesie or pair of socks

but mostly remember you are doing a great job and it’s tough my little one is 9 weeks and only just getting to long length naps…. On me but still better …. It’s the hardest job I’ve ever had…

Has she been assessed for tongue tie? My youngest was breastfed but was waking and feeding constantly round the clock. Only sleeping for very brief periods. Wouldn't be put down. We had been told by the midwife that there was a minor tongue tie and nothing to worry about but after a friend suggested this might be the cause of all the sleeping and feeding issues we had it assessed at an infant feeding group and they told us it was actually quite a severe TT. NHS wait time was appalling so we paid £250 to have it snipped privately and it was an immediate and drastic change for us. Feeding was much more efficient which meant that we had shorter feeding sessions and more settled and much longer periods of sleep in between.

Cluster feeding is definitely a possibility but that's usually a few hours in the evening (mine all tended to do this from 5/6pm - 10/11pm) and not all day and night.
