Hi all.
So last night we ended up in a&e after calling 111 due to 3 week old having blood and mucus in his nappy when pooping. He is formula feed ( was initally breastfed for 5 days) now using aptamil. He has kept his appetite, burping fine and sleeping fine with no temperature or vomiting with plenty of wet nappies and generally not in discomfort apart from a sore bottom. A&E said his tummy was nice and soft and showed no distension. He is still having bloody mucus poops which have had a tinge of green but mostly stayed yellow and are frequent but more little and often rather than big poops. Reading about it suggests possibly an allergy? How did others find out their child has allergies to formula?
I am waiting to hear from the health visitor (only met her once and not very engaging to be honest so not holding out much hope).
Any advice would be welcome
