yes it is - just make sure you tuck the blankets in really well and do the feet-to-foot thing (baby's feet at the foot of the cot so they can't wriggle down under blankets)

scorpio1 · 24/01/2008 11:37

or a grobag?

juuule · 24/01/2008 11:38

Fine. Do the feet-to-foot thing like LewisFan said.

Should feel secure enough if well swaddled.

My DS went straight into a cot - he didn't like a moses basket and wouldn't sleep properly in it at all. He has baby sleeping bags from tescos cos they are loads cheaper than grobags. also got a safababy sleeper here which makes the cot a bit smaller for him, and a cot bumper to make it a bit more cosy - but he still has plenty of space to wriggle around in, which he loves

cheers for the safababy link strawberry.

Hi my DD went straight into cot just like that and always slept well. The feet to foot thing is the most important so that they dont slip under blankets!
Also room temp (18 to 20) is important so they dont over heat.
My Ds never settled in moses basket so I just put DD straight into cot....although she did look tiny at foot of cot, but they soon grow!
