Baby won't nap in cot

Hi all looking for any tips you have. My wee boy is generally a pretty good sleeper at night (8mo) but during the day will not sleep in his cot or in the pram. If I try his cot he sobs his heart out, in the pram he's just too interested in what's going on! I'm really worried as he starts nursery in a couple of months and I'm worried he won't sleep at all. Does anyone have any tips??
Thank you!

I don't have any tips for getting him to sleep in his cot as my DD was the same. But she went to nursery at 10/11 months and they had no problems whatsoever getting her to sleep in one. I know other people who say the same, so I wouldn't worry about that aspect of it.

Don't worry, they'll happily do things at nursery they'd never do at home. I wish I'd listened when people had said this to me, stopped stressing and cuddled my baby for naps.

I was thinking about posting about a similar thing today, my 19month old wont nap in her cot and it's driving me nuts. However at nursery she toddles over and lies down on her wee mat for a 2 hour sleep no bother!! She started going to nursery at 12 months and just went along with the way they do things. Have heard a few other mums saying their kids were the same. We've even tried replicating the nursery nap set up(not including all the other kids!😛) at home but that didn't work.

So I second not worrying about it!

Thank you so so much everyone 😊 I'll try to just enjoy the cuddles at every opportunity and not worry about it so much! Xx
