Poo 5 week old - sorry for the images

My 5 week old is now on SMA Alphera as the doctor suspects CMPA. We tried two other formulas and he was unable to pass wind, constipated and generally miserable. He is burping every feed now and doesn’t seem overly unhappy however is a pain when feeding 1/2 bottles a day. It’s now over 24 hours on the SMA and his poo is like this. Is this normal? Do I need to panic? Health Visitors still haven’t called me after my call 3 days ago, so feel I’ve got nowhere to turn!

Looks fine to me. My DD2 is nearly 6 months a still look like this 😂 you’ve got to look out for blood and mucus in poo as they are red flags to tummy issues. Wouldn’t worry

I believe the ‘seed’ type things in it are partly digested bits of milk x

Thank you. See I feel like this poo is mucusy- the one last night seemed worse?

If he has CMPA and has just been put on dairy free milk it will take a few weeks for the mucus to stop. Mucus is a sign of a healing intestine.
