What time dress baby in

Hi,
My daughter is 8 months old and I'm always worrying I'm dressing her wrong for the weather!
What do you dress yours in at the moment?? For reference I'm in the UK and it's 17 degrees where I am today

My 13 month old has gone to the childminder is trackies and a long sleeve top with a woolly cardigan for when leaving the house. He has a short sleeve top in his bag but I doubt he will be too hot.

I remember hearing a good guide was what you would wear with an extra layer. Today I'm in a long sleeved t-shirt and jeans. So I'd dress a baby in a vest, thin long sleeved too and trousers.
