3 month old nap lengths. Normal and enough...?

I'm so confused with this. Everything seems to be contradicting. Does this sound ok/enough/ too much...? I know every baby is different but looking for a little consenus if this sounds OK.
13, nearly 14 week old baby. His naps have got a lot longer so some days only has 2. Below is a rough guide to a typical day. He has no strict schedule

10.30 nap - about 2.5 hrs. Say to 1.30ish
3.30 nap - same. To about 6/7
9/9.30 -5/6am - sleep. Is this too long? It changes and sometimes he goes at 8ish until about 4/5
6/7 - nap to about 9

I know he's getting his total daily amount but naps have changed to be longer and less. His time awake is between 1.5 hrs to 3. Depends really- he can be awake happily for 3 hrs sometimes and others barely 1 hr.

I'm just worried I'm doing something wrong. Some sites say he should still only be awake for abour an hr and having 5 naps

Yesterday he had a 3 hr nap In the afternoon and some sites say that means he's crashing and getting poor night sleep... but he only had 2 naps and seemed to do 8 hrs at night. It didn't seem poor sleep I didnt hear him if it was

I sometimes feel i read too much and it makes me feel like a terrible mum :(

I would really try to not obsess, babies will sleep as much as they want and providing they have no medical needs, it tends to be just right for them.

All adults need different amounts of sleep and it’s the same with babies, and on that note each adult will vary in how much sleep they need day-to-day (e.g. sometimes I feel tired at 8pm and sometimes not till 11pm), same for babies (and toddlers and children!).

At 3 months my little boy slept for about 30 minutes at a time 3 times a day, 1.5 hours of naps ALL day, but that was just right for him. He’s always needed less sleep than what the internet has told me he needs, I just stopped googling.

If you have any concerns though, reach out to your HV and they’ll be able to reassure you from a professional perspective.

It sounds pretty normal to me. Like PP said, try not to obsess over it and ignore most of the stuff you read online about what a baby's sleep pattern "should" look like... every baby is different! My little one was a long napper as well, so he was on 2 naps per day much earlier than most babies, and dropped to 1 nap a day at just a year old. Online will tell you this is too early, but it was right for him. Just go with what your baby wants and needs and it will be fine!

Once he is a bit older you might want to cut that second nap shorter so that he can be down for the night around earlier, but for the moment it's fine to be letting him sleep when he wants!

I wouldn't worry about it. DD2 is almost 13 weeks and doesn't have any kind of routine. She just falls asleep on and off in sling or in car or whatever we are doing so she doesn't even really have discrete 'naps'! The only consistent thing is that she tends to fall asleep for the night about 8.30pm 🤷‍♀️

Put the books down and just go with the flow!

Thank you all so much ❤️ ❤ it's so hard and stressful when it's all new and one thing is telling you something and another thing something else.

Will stop reading and try to relax with it. Otherwise he seems pretty happy x
