Boys trousers - help!

I am not sure where to put this so hopefully this is okay.
I have twin (coming up) 3 year old boys. All trousers are short in the legs but the next size up is far to big around the waist.

Any tips on how to manage this?

Most trousers for children have adjustable waists.

I agree buy ones with adjustable elastic in the waist - you have to look in the seam and move the buttons to tighten.

Same issue with my 3 year old, and he’s not even slim of waist. The ties on joggers are all very well but not when you have an independent minded potty trained child who needs to be able to pull them up and down but can’t do ties. Best I can recommend are the likes of Frugi parsnip pants and Maxomorra where you can fold the bottoms or unfold depending on leg length.

Most jeans and trousers will have an adjustable waist, buy those ones. I think H&M have it in all their trousers. You can make the waist absolutely tiny! Also Gap, Next, M&S.

Thanks for the replies. The ones i have got are from next but they are joggers. Will start to look for the waist buttons.

Will check out all recommendations- thank you again!

Joggers are out. They are rarely adjustable.

H&M seem to come up long, and are usually adjustable.
DS2 lives in shorts...... DS1 usually has adjustable waists pulled tight, and trousers verging on too short.
