yesterday was a stressful day so I didn’t get ahead with me meal prep for the next day (today) like normal, and it’s the day before our shop comes and I’m stumped, 3 youngish fussy numptys (sorry kids) and needs to be ready in about 30 mins, anyone any ideas? They’ve already had eggs for breakfast and (homemade) pesto pasta for lunch. Any clues as the dreaded hr approaches?

I microwave frozen fish fillets and serve with noodles, peas and broccoli. All done in 10 minutes.

What do you have in your cupboard? My go-to when out of time is pasta, but since you've already had that I would go for something like bruschettas (whatever you have on thick bread with cheese on top and grilled, tuna can work well).

You could do egg fried rice, boil the rice, whisk in an egg and fry off with the dregs of remaining veg

I’ve got all the stuff the muppets won’t eat, chickpeas (apparently dc 2 is allergic dodgy tummy every time, GP says potential allergy), used up all our eggs this morning. No noodles, just random shit that DH bought coz it’s looked interesting

Your children want cheese toasties with carrot and cucumber sticks.

Wanda616 · 13/09/2022 17:13

Just do them a massive bowl of porridge and some fruit if you have it. Won't do them any harm, they've had two 'proper meals' today.
