What will you do/done when kids go to school?

I have a 2 year old son and a baby on the way and currently work 2 days a week. My plan was always to increase my days when the youngest goes to school (or starts getting the free 30 hours) and eventually work my way back to full time. Is this your plan or will you stick to being part time? Now that I work part time I can't imagine ever working full time again

I just have one but this was my plan. 3 years down the line I'm still part time!

I've always worked ft with mine. Once I went back to work after mat leave with dc2 I decided no more shifts so swapped to a 9-5 mon-fri job when he was about 2. They are now 8 and 11 and no plans to reduce hours.

I worked part time, over 3 days before they went to school. I now do 30 hours over 5 days to mainly fit around school hours.

Same, 30 hours over 5 days now the kids are back in school. Perfect for me, although we basically use my Friday wage to pay to outsource the things I could be doing on a Friday off (cleaning, gardening, meal planning and shopping -we use Gousto instead). However, mfamily have form for treating me like a domestic slave, so I've chosen to work and they can do one. Haha!

I currently work full time over 4 days. I intend to carry on with that working pattern for the first year of school so I can do all the stuff I haven't had time to do the last few years (sort out clothes, redecorate, help my parents clear out their house, etc), then probably get a new job and go back to full time when he's Y1 or Y2.

I've worked full time ever since returning to work after my first mat leave. I'm now expecting my second baby and I plan to return to work full time afterwards again. Childcare costs will be ridiculous, but it's just what I want to do!

By the time I'd had my three kids and settled them into school i had been part time for 16 years!

I'm back full time since youngest was 7 and wouldn't change it at all. I'm lucky though as 3 days wfh means I can do a lot of school runs and be around for the kids even though I'm working.

They're all old enough to wait for me to be free / not interrupt me in meetings / get their own snacks etc.
