Reflux and Thrush - help please 😢

My son is on lansoprazole and gaviscon for severe silent reflux. He is nearly 8 weeks old. We were seeing a great improvement however he developed oral thrush and has been on Nystan / Nystatin for 8 days. We have noticed his reflux is started to flare up again massively, squealing when it comes back up and coughing / choking at night etc. it’s petrifying me as it was improving so well and now it seems like it’s back. I’m wondering if the thrush medication could be causing this? It’s the only thing that has changed. Problem is we need the thrush to fully go and I think we just need to ride out the last few days of the Nystatin to get that gone and then see what happens. Does anyone else have experience of this? I feel like a nervous wreck again when things were starting to get better. At what age will they grow out of reflux?

I'm so sorry you're going through this -its so so tough. My little one had silent reflux. Wasn't on medication (wasn't bad enough apparently)

He is 13 weeks and has had no symptoms now for about 2 week. It just kinda got better at about 11/12 weeks. I read it peaks about 4 months but fingers crossed so far he seems to be ok.

Hope it goes soon. I would ride out the thrush meds so that at least clears up
