Ages ago there was a thread about snackboxes for children (to eat out of during the day)

I am getting sick of the locusts that are DS1 and 2. I need some way of monitoring what they eat. For example they ahve both came out of schoola nd stood in the playground and demolished the remainder of their lunchboxes. When we got in Ds1 had 3 jaffa cakes, a banana and 2 slices of bread.
DS2 had similar. I went to get ham out this morning and both packets were finished (and then stuck back in fridge empty, grr)2 boxes opf those squeezy yogs have been eaten in three days.
I remember reading somewhere on MN last year that someone had a snackbox for their child, a box with snacks in that they could eat out of.I am sick of having to hide food. All teh stuff for their lunchboxes is in a box in my wardrobe, biscuits are hidden, but they will open the fridge and just eat and eat.
I tried looking for the thread, but couldn't find it. Does anyone know what I'm on about or ahve I dreamt the whole thing?

They are alomst 10 and 8. I am actually beginning to think i dreamt it!. The snackbox thing was a MNetter who ahd filled the snackbox with things like raisins and cereal bars and her child could eat out of it (I think when they wanted) and I was jsut trying to find the thread to try and get some advice

Am glad you started this thread because I nearly did exactly the same yesterday. Though think ds, at 2 and a quarter, may be too young.

I'm really wnating some advice how to implement it! I will try searching under franny's name and see if I can find it
