Nursery Packed Lunch

When at home we usually have sandwiches and fruit or the left overs from dinner the night before reheated. I need suggestions for what to pack my LO for nursery lunch times as I feel a sandwich will definitely not be enough there nor do they reheat food.
Ideas please.

I go on the basis of sandwich/roll/wrap/bagel thin plus piece of fruit or cucumber, yoghurt and an extra like dairykea dunkers, babybel, little scotch eggs, soreen loaf, rice cake.
Then once my DD got to school age I’d add one more extra in as she got hungrier. You’ll know if you need to add more as nursery can tell you if they’re finishing it all and wanting more.

If you have a sandwich at home then why would a sandwich not be enough at nursery?
Sandwich, fruit, yoghurt, mini biscuit bag

Sandwich with a protein filling (i.e. not jam or chocolate spread) and a low sugar full fat yoghurt. That's all they'll need.

2 items eg sandwich plus fruit. Sandwich plus yogurt. Even my 6ft teenager only takes 2 items for lunch. It astounds me that lunches contain so much esp for toddlers.

A few ideas of things that work well for packed lunches with my dc's.

Mains:
Sandwich
Wrap
Pizza pinwheels
Mini fritatas
Flatbread/pitta with dip like houmous or tzatsiki
Cold pasta salad (my kids favourite is red pesto, creme fraiche and chicken)
Sausage roll

Snacks:
Mini cheese stick/cheese string
Yoghurt
Mini muffin
Flapjack
Rice cakes
Cherry tomatoes
Cucumber/carrot batons
Popcorn

I do agree that they don't need masses of food but I've always liked to give my dc's a nice variety in their lunchboxes so I do a main and 2 or 3 snacks plus fruit but small portions. So I do half a sandwich rather than a full one for example.

Savoury muffins are a winner here.
The what mummy makes book is really good, especially bacon cheese and chive muffins and sweetcorn muffins.

I forgot to say OP that things like savoury/sweet muffins, pin wheels, fritatas etc are great because you can batch cook and freeze them. Then you can just get them out of the freezer as you need them. Have a Google for freezable lunchbox ideas. Very useful for people like me who never seem to have enough time in the mornings whatever time I wake up 😂
