Changing formula to Kendamil - advice?

So we’ve had our 4 week old baby on Aldi’s Mamia First Infant Milk since birth, however I don’t love that it has palm oil in 😬

We’ve heard really good things about Kendamil, so we’ve tried her on it today and everything has been great - she’s getting her burps up so easy and we’ve had a better day of dirty nappies rather than her going every 3-4 days.

However, it’s made her reflux horrendous and she won’t lie down on her back/has been spitting up more/crying more because of it.

Is it worth persevering or should we transition it slowly so she has more time to get used to it? I.e. Do one bottle of Kendamil a day between Mamia and build up the frequency slowly?

We switched our little one to Kendamil and worked wonders for digestion. Had more regular bowel movements. She was just very happy on it. There are two kendamils one organic and one, we used the organic one which I think worked better for her than non organic. But if your baby’s reflux is really bad you might just need to go to the docs and they can provide medicine

another thing that helps with reflux is having your next to me/ Moses basket etc tilted at an angle so the upper body is more elevated

@SassyPants87 - the doctor has prescribed her Gaviscon, but we’re worried to use it as we’ve read a lot about constipation on it and sometimes I think that would be worse than the reflux!

It’s so hard to know what to do!

My little one had silent reflux and honestly the gaviscon did nothing - it made him so constipated he was just in pain from that and it was worse than the reflux. It does work for some babies though. He is 13 weeks now and has no signs or symptoms of reflux any more so I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
Maybe try a little bit like half a sachet? You can always stop it

I use aptamil myself. Formula is pretty much all the same because legally it has to be But some babies do settle on one over another. I've heard really mixed things about kendamil so I've never tried it.

Maybe you could try a comfort formula? It didn't really work for my little one but it does for a lot of people. It's a thicker milk so easy to keep down. Otherwise it is worth giving the kendamil a bit longer - Maybe a day or two. It sometimes takes them a few days to get used to a new formula.

@CountryGirl189 Sorry to jump in, did Kendamil work for your little one? I am in the exact same position, my nearly 4 week old has been on Aldi milk since birth but has horrific reflux & colic. She has baby gaviscon but not sure it even works and already only poo’s ever 3 days as it is!! I am at the end of my tether with the screaming and crying i just feel in a hole and have been thinking today about moving to Kendmail but slightly
unsure??
