My 12yo lies all the time about having brushed his teeth (I know because the brush and paste haven't moved) so now I ask for video evidence before I let him play computer games... AIBU ?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No, thats genius. 😀Just make sure he's not sending the same video all the time ;)

Parentxyz · 10/09/2022 20:10

I make him say the date and time at the start of the video

Also I can see his technique. He was only doing his front teeth!

Sounds a great idea. I would try to establish exactly why he's not brushing his teeth first though - is it just laziness or some other reason. When I was a child I didn't brush my teeth well because of sensory issues to do with the taste and feel of toothpaste, I got very good at disguising it and as far as my parents knew I was brushing my teeth properly. My teeth are absolutely awful now, even though I use toothpaste, I think not having fluoride for those formative years has really affected them.

I would back this up by showing images of people who didn’t brush their teeth 😆

He's definitely lazy!

Sorry to hear about your teeth 🥺
