Settling into nursery

My 2yo DD is due to start nursery next week. She is going for two 3 hour sessions a week. She has had two settling in sessions which have gone well. I guess it's just dawning on me that I'll be leaving her there next week. How did your toddlers settle at nursery?

She has good understanding and language so we have talked about how I'll be dropping her off at nursery. We've also read books about nursery. I'm just worried that 2 sessions a week isn't going to be enough to help her settle...

Thoughts and experiences would be appreciated.

My son walked into nursery and never once looked back. Couldn't wait to be rid of me but was then delighted to see me again at pick up.

My DD only did two sessions a week, 4 hours each, and settled fine. I wouldn’t worry about it. I think it’s a nice balance for them to go there for just a few sessions a week. It’s very tiring for them and I think if mine did much more than they she would have been very grumpy and overwhelmed quickly.

My dd hates nursery but also hates it when I pick her up from nursery 🤷‍♀️

I think it's the drop off and pick up that are where it all comes out.
My recommendation would be to say bye and see you after nap time or dinner time or whatever, and then leave confidently rather than long goodbyes.
When you get back for collection, the key worker will say they were fine all day but they will burst into tears as soon as you arrive (based on my son so not a big sample)
I think it will be harder for you then your little one! It was for us. Good luck.
