Hi everyone. My DS is 13 months old and he has been quite an easy going child when it comes to playing. We live in a 2 bedroom flat with a good sized living room. At the moment, all his toys and books are in the living room but we eventually plan on getting more furniture to put in there so that my husband's family and our friends can come by.
Now, we hardly spend anytime in my DSs bedroom. He's only there to go to sleep and most of the play time (and TV time) is spent in the living room mainly because it's so much more spacious. Now, I have had to give away some of his toys because he isn't interested in a lot of them. I've kept the ones which he really likes but I'm wondering if I should buy some more toys more suitable for his age? Currently, I would like to buy a soft play set but they're are ridiculously expensive even used ones of FB and other second hand sites. I was going to put all his toys and books back in his bedroom to make room for the soft play set but I just don't know if it's worth getting that or any other toys for that matter. It's so much money and I'm not even sure if he will use them. I'm not a minimalist but I don't intend on spending so much money on him (we're already spending a lot on nursery fees) unless I see the need to.
Would you recommend buying more toys new or used otherwise or would you say I just stick to what I have until he shows a genuine interest in another toy? We spend a lot of time doing outdoor activities and I prefer I do that than constantly change from one toy to another every month. Thanks.
