My six-year-old Dd is generally anxious. My mother died 3 years ago and she was a lot more affected by it than I expected her to be, tbh.
Then our dog died during the summer and a friend of the family died a few weeks later. Obviously this affected her badly, but we talked a lot about it, read "why do things die?" from Usborne and she seemed a lot happier.
Apparently yesterday they ran through "what to do in the event of a fire" at school and she's back to being scared all the time. Won't go into another room by herself "in case there's a fire", is clingy and tearful.
Dh went to the dentist this week and now she's "scared he might die because of the problems with his teeth".
Obviously I reassure her as much as I can but I'm honestly getting worried about how worried she is. Is there something else I can do? Any magical words?
Thanks
