I've not used pocket bots -nappyzone may have.

I like the wonderoos inserts (microfibre is a complete nightmare to get hold of right now, will warn you!!), or the greenacre designs ones.

nope never used them sorry! loving ptit dessous bamboo but bit bulkier than microterry ones. Greenacre design onesize r good as flamey mentions.....slimish and effective

I used greenacre design microfibre and hemp inserts in my Pocket Bots (love Pocket Bots ) also used bamboo terry squares at night time and prefolds too (for the day) - pretty much anything seemed to fit tbh. The greenacre inserts are easy to boost with another insert if you need to - I used to stick a value microfibre cloth (3 for 89p) inside one if I needed to.

If you ever come across a Greenacre Designs pocket nappy for sale - GRAB IT! They are fab, if you like pocket bots, you'll like those too. Pocket bots are based on them but I find GADs slimmer fitting slightly(hard to find in this country though ).

If you use microfibre inserts I would recommend you put them through a quick cold rinse each time before you wash them or they can end up smelling. But they are good nonetheless

Thanks what are the greenacre ones made of? I'm desperately trying to remember what are the qualities of bamboo now. wil go and google a wonderoo. Is it just anyond microfibre from ASDA? I was looking at the berry/berries? on is it Flames site the other day and was tempted am off to google greenacre now as well. Pocket bots are lovely very slim! My pocket huggle is absolutely huge in comparison

Best value insert -- the Tesco value range (the blue stripy packaging) microfibre cleaning cloths at 89p for three, lovely and slim, and for daytime use I generally only needed to use three in a nappy. Overnight tended to use hemp.

PortAndLemon · 24/01/2008 01:01

(and because they are individual slim cloths, once you've washed them they dry really, really quickly)

The greenacre Nappies are the same as pocket bots - although they do some furry outered ones now I believe...come to think of it - don't pocket bots too now . The GAD inserts are either hemp or microfibre. It isn't cost effective to buy the GAD nappies and get them imported becuase of the high USA postage charge . I got mine from the lady who makes Pocket Bots as she used them before she started making her own (Pocket Bots).

I use tesco value microfibre cloths (3 for 89p) inside my Ellas House day nappies. These aren't pocket nappies but I just fold one cloth and plonk in inside the shaped nappy. They pick up all the bits of fluff from your washing machine but they are fab - I didn't find them enough on their own inside a pocket nappy but then I had some GAD inserts already which did the job well (at about £5 each they should!!)

Bamboo is slim fitting, more absorbant than cotton, naturally anti bacterial, stays soft, more expensive, takes longer to dry. I quite like it .

I have some Wonderoos with MF inserts in my trial kits. They are from the newest version of BTP wonderoos and the inserts are awful (sorry flame ). They have only been washed twice but all three sets have frayed and come apart. The nappies themselves seem quite good though - no reports of leaks at all. Not sure the insert shape would suit the pocket bots so just check .

I think there should be a pocket bot fanclub - very under-rated IMO (as are bumbles)

should have mentioned, if you have problems finding the GAD inserts look on the Mommy's Touch UK site - you can buy them on there.

OriginalFlame · 24/01/2008 17:17

I think both myself and nappyzone do the GAD inserts too (and probably snugglebumnappies)

Nappyzone · 24/01/2008 19:12

yup

hello flame ! (boy has gone back to non walking)

BevB · 24/01/2008 20:34

I use a tescos micro fibre cloth as above inside a prefold as you can get them real cheap second hand too.
