Single parenting / toddler wanting to be with daddy ...

Hi,

I've been separated for nearly a year now. My daughter is 3, and I broke up as my ex's children who lived with us (ages 11,15,17) did not accept our daughter and me, so it caused major issues in the relationship.

My ex has been fine financially, he has a big house, garden and all the fun things. After initially 3 months of not seeing her, he now sees her once a week. Often forgets to call, and sometimes forgets to see her, so this has made her increasingly obsessed over when she is next seeing him.

Lately, she has had toilet accidents whilst she's at his place when she never does this with me or at nursery, (I feel for attention as he's too busy doing other things) and he often just lets her roam around the house alone. When she returns, she has the biggest tantrums, full of anger towards me, saying she wants to live with her Dad and the boys and wants me to go away. I know she doesn't really know what she wants, that it's all confusing for her, but I find this heartbreaking and unfair as I am the one doing everything with her, sleepless nights and all..... I kind of worried she will grow up hating me for leaving.. has anyone else experienced this?

does it get better as they get older? any suggestions?
