Formula feeding advice please

I stopped breast feeding my 2.5 week old - she didn’t pass a bowel movement for 3/4 days and was struggling (taking cow and gate formula) I went and purchased some comfort milk and after one feed she had a bowel movement and has had a few a day since (also doesn’t seem as fidgety after a feed)
now that she’s comfortable again and bowels have opened do I put her back onto the original cow ans gate formula or keep her on comfort for the future?
my other 3 children all had neocate due to allergies so I’m unsure how it works ..
she takes 3/4 ozs every 3/4 hours.
thanks

It depends what you’ll find easier ie- standard formula is obviously more readily available than the comfort version.

my only bit of advice is that the ready to feed liquid formula is sometimes digested a lot easier than the powder so you could always use some of that if not opening bowels for a few days.

ultimately it’s your choice what you prefer to keep going with.

is there any suspicion of allergies this time around?

You can stay on the comfort formula the whole time if its working for her

We tried the comfort milk and it worked wonders for constipation but changed back to aptamil after a few days as our little one got sickly on it for some reason

Had no other problems with it since

And we mix between ready made and powder - usually powder in the day, ready made at night and on the go. Seems to work well

No I don’t think so - my other 3 children would projectile vomit and cry constantly.

she is incredibly settled, only wakes once through the night no vomit at all.

just those few days of constipation which I presume was due to changing from breast to formula.

iseally id like her back onto the standard formula however I don’t want to change her if that’s going to upset her tummy or then have to change her back to comfort anyway as feel that’s too much change?

shes bringing up her wind so much better on the comfort milk too.
