Hi

is anyone on here a student nurse with very young children?

my youngest has just turned 1 and I start uni next week..

any positive stories for me please im
starting to wonder what the hell im doing 😞🙈

Hi OP, no experience of this myself but when I was a nursing student there were several in my year with very young children and even a couple who gave birth during the course and they made it work!

I hope your getting on well I’m also a student nurse and a single mum to 3 child. You can do this these first few weeks adjusting will
be the hardest but don’t overthink things and remember why your doing this. Good luck ☘️

Not a nursing student but AHP student. Main thing is childcare for placements, it needs to be solid to cover long 12.5 hour shifts (plus travel time) days, nights, weekends. As long as you have good childcare you can make it work.
