So our 5 year old had had a friend for about a year. They started at different schools.
There has been a quite few occasions when our child has said they don't want to play with this friend as they are very often not kind. They play ok for a bit. But we have previously taken a step back as our child was upset at going to play with them, so we took a break and then tried again and it seemed ok for a bit. But again our child doesn't want to meet up with them.
I'm sure they will grow out but in the mean time how do you approach this with them not wanting to see them. I don't want to ruin what could be a nice friendship on the future but it's a bit exhausting for both of us TBH.
What do you say to child's friends mum about not meeting ?
Do you just keep taking my child to meet them ?
Not sure how to handle it.
