I have a terrible relationship with my DD (14). She is horrible to me, says nasty things, very hurtful but always the opposite to dad (we live together). I was wondering the other day why she is like this to me and it had me thinking, when she was younger I had awful, untreated PND. I never left the house, I would cry when making feeding her, even when playing with her I remember holding back tears. I feel awful. Could this be why she is the way she is towards me now.

It seems unlikely that that'll be what's causing her behaviour so try not to be holding onto so much guilt.

It sounds like you have some unresolved trauma from that time though. Perhaps you'd benefit speaking with a therapist?

Sorry you're having such a hard time with your daughter.
