Cradle cap on face?

Any tips on how to treat cradle cap on my 7 week old baby’s face? Can’t see any in her hair yet. Have read a lot of conflicting advice about whether things like olive oil or coconut oil work. Should we be using special shampoos? We hadn’t been using any shampoo or soap at bath time yet as had read newborns don’t need it. Finally does breastmilk work?

My baby had cradle cap on his head and also on his forehead. A pharmacist advised to put olive oil on it and not to use medicated shampoo as they can be too harsh. I used the olive oil and it got worse, I then saw the NHS website advises against using it 🤔

I bought some dentinox cradle cap shampoo and noticed an improvement immediately, it then cleared up completely after a few washes. It may not work for everyone though.

Wasn't breastfeeding so didn't try breast milk, I did read that it helps though.

Hope this helps 😊

Just to add, I can't remember how old he was but I think he was around 3/4 months rather than 7 weeks

I used dentinox shampoo too which worked. I did try olive oil but it started smelling bad

Def olive oil. The nurse that showed me how to bath DS in hospital said to put it on him everywhere, as it nails dry skin and nappy rash.

He has always had beautiful skin.
