I want one 3 year old focused mini break before I’m too pregnant to enjoy / the baby is here so looking to do something in September. Looked at a lot of different options caravan breaks, CBeebies land hotel, Butlins but not really sure what’s best. Anyone got any suggestions?**

Tapnell Farm on IOW. Wooden cabins with hot tub, or glamping tents. Access to playbarn and animals on site and then there's the rest of the island with beaches, the zoo, miniature village, steam train etc.

Butlins just for tots but only if your budget goes to the hotel option.

Top tip: Get an AirBnB/holiday cottage and then you can have a restful evening after the 3yo is in bed, rather than all sharing one hotel room.

Isle of Wight is probably a bit far for a short break but I’ll remember that if we ever plan to go for longer!

Is Butlins actually good? I’ve heard it can be a bit of a shit hole? 😂🙈

Butlins hotel is great, better than CP imo as most activities are included, the pool at Bognor is great, recently refurbished.

I never thought I would be an advocate for butlins but my kids bloody love it and they are luck enough to have been all over the world on holidays. It's butlins they still talk about.

Where do you live OP? If the Isle of Wight is too far, it would be helpful to know where you are.

Ribby Hall is great. A bit like a combination of Butlins and CP.

My son (just turned 4) loves Butlins. Like a poster above, it is the holiday he still talks about. No, it's not going to be the most extravagant holiday destination but in terms of kid focused I don't think you can go wrong. Especially the just for tots breaks there.

Yep, Butlins without a doubt. Tots Week is perfect for a 3 year old. Took my son when he was 14 months and we've been back every year since because it's his favourite place in all the world. He's 9 now and still love it. He was disappointed last year that I booked Lapland for December instead of Butlins...

Term time is such good value. And if you have Tesco Clubcard vouchers, they triple up for Butlins.

I absolutely loved our Butlins holiday at that age. It's not posh but there was so much to do that it was really easy and fun.

Bluestone in Wales is fab (currently here)-lots to do for toddlers
