Looking for some advice!
Our road has a lovely group of children that play together in the street. However, there is one little boy who several times now has taking to coming right up to our living room windows and peering in. We ask him to leave when this happens and he often just walks off.
We are not able to have a fence outside our front and just have a small landscaped area with plants between our house and the road.
Today he came down the side of our house, I assume looking for our neighbor's little girl to play with but instead attempted to try and open our back gate to see our two dogs. We asked him nicely not to do that and he quickly ran away, round the front of the house and peered into the windows again, face pressed up to the glass.
I spoke to our next door neighbor who has also had issues with him entering their garden and playing on their daughter's slide etc without invitation. He told me that the boy may have some learning difficulties and that they are unsure what to do also as they are unsure of where exactly he lives.
I'm hoping we can speak to some other neighbors to find out where he lives so that we can speak to his parents.
Can anyone suggest a good and sympathetic way to approach this with the parents? We don't want to upset them or step on their toes and he's really not doing any harm. However, understandably it is affecting our privacy and property and I feel like we need to set some boundaries. Not to mention I often get the fright of my life when his little face pops up unexpectedly in the window!
