My 2 year old has a nose bleed every few weeks. Is that weird? My husband says it's normal ?
Gp isn't bothered 😕

My DS had this and then it went to a daily bloodbath at night. As he was under the care of a ENT consultant due to having his tonsils out, I mentioned it on his follow up appointment. They made an appointment the following week and he had had one side cauterised and prescribed Naseptin. He hasn’t had once since.
You could push for a referral.

Thank you for that - I will push for a referral.
I just hope it isn't a sign of anything more serious! Useful to know cauterisation resolved your child's issue - it was the same with DH

When my boys had lots of nose bleeds, doctor said can just happen but treated for possible bacterial infection as that can cause it. They were older at the time. I would ask for that and if no success and it continues ask for a referral. A big factor will be in the amount of bleeding. If it isn’t much then likely they would recommend no treatment and see if if it self resolves first.

Fingers up nose?
Almost guaranteed to be the cause in our house.
”It just suddenly started, Mummy” 🙄

That's good to know, thank you. No idea it could have been caused by a bacterial infection!

And no his is not due to him sticking fingers up his nose. I have been stood next to him when his nose just suddenly starts bleeding- no apparent cause at all!
