Hi, I was reading one of the other threads and saw a mum had put a poem on there for her little ones. I sing this song to my son at bed time (when he is with me) The first verse is from a tv show i think and my sisters sang it to their little ones, me and my sisters have developed our own personal verses though.

'Skidda marink adink adink, skidda marink a do, I Love you

I love you in the morning and in the afternoon
I love you in the evening underneath the moon

Skidda marink adink adink, skidda marink a do, i love you

I love you when its raining, i love you in the sun
I love you when you're grumpy and i love you when you're fun

Skidda marink adink adink, Skidda marink a do, i love you

I love you when its sunset, I love you at daybreak
I love you when you're sleeping or when you're wide awake

Skidda marink adink adink, Skidda marink a do, i love you

I love you in the daytime, I love you in the night
I love you when you're close to me or when you're out of sight

Skidda marink adink adink, Skidda marink a do, i love you

I Love you when its scorching hot, I love you when its cold
I love you now you're young and I'll still love you when you're old

Skidda marink adink adink, Skidda marink a do, i love you

Skidda marink adink adink, Skidda marink a do, i love you, I really do'

ds loves hearing it before he falls asleep. xx

I knwo the tune you mean - It was a popular songin the 1950s I think. It went

tiddly winky winky winky
tiddly winky woo
I love you

How sad is it that i knwo that???
Its so sweet that you have your own song. I have one too for my kids but I'm not divulging it

I sing to keep my little one still when i do his nappy and just to try to cheer him up a bit.
I think I started "you are my sunshine" pretty much from birth. I always wanted to give him a name to do with sun and light but couldn't find an english one that suited.
He must have heard it every day for 15months!
(i do it a bit countryfied as it sounds better like that)
