My daughter is nearly in year 1 and wants a play date with two of her friends. I don’t really talk to the other mums especially as up until recently she was very delayed speech wise although she has been to the park with a girl who lives down our road. I bumped into one of the girls mum in the shop recently and asked for her number. I’m not the most confident person in the world! Would it make more sense to meet in the park or at ours? I assume it may be too early to do a play date without the parent. She doesn’t seem that sort of child either to leave by herself.I’m probably overthinking it. Her other friend who probably could come by herself (her parents don’t stay at parties) her mum hasn’t come back to me but probably as she works full time or has forgotten.
