Hi all, I have a very congested 7 week old, she’s been congested for weeks and we’ve bought a humidifier and are using saline drops which have made it a little better.
I also have a nasal aspirator but not sure I’m using it right because it does absolutely nothing! My question is, should you close the other nostril with your finger whilst using the aspirator on the other nostril?
If I do this, it works better but none of the guidance I’ve found online tells you to do that so not sure if it’s safe?
Hope that’s makes sense, any advice would be greatly appreciated

I think that's what we did. DD wa very congested and in the end the GP said that it's usually way too early for hayfever but she's obviously got it.

Have you tried giving everything a good hoover, including the mattresses and washing her bedding, your bedding and sleep suits at 60 just in case it's house dust mites allergy?

Our 10 week old is the same, we use saline drops and a FRIDA nasal aspirator, it's a manual one not a bulb one and it works great
