My baby is coming up to 4 months and i’m dreading it after hearing soo many horror stories about the 4 month sleep regression.

did anyone not find it too bad? She currently sleeps through the night so i’m not looking forward to that changing

I feel for you. There's too much information out there these days and I remember dreading every stage. They'll be people posting to say the 4 month regression is horrendous and lasts forever but regressions were barely known about 10/15 years ago!

For my LO, the worst of it lasted just over a week but she wasn't a great sleeper anyway. I tried to use the tools that helped for me such as white noise, dummy, swaddling (as she wasn't rolling then).
You might find they nap longer in the day so you can try and catch on sleep then. Have some support lined up and some lovely meals ready in the freezer.
Young baby stage can be so hard but there's lots of joy and cuteness ahead when they're a bit older!

I was the same as you, she was sleeping so well and I thought we’d avoid it. Unfortunately we didn’t and we had a few rough weeks. It’s AWFUL at the time, but soon forgotten about.

You might not experience it though, not everyone does!

My LOs 4 month sleep regression lasted about 4-5 days, but to be honest it wasn't so bad. He use to sleep the whole night but began waking once or twice. I would give him his dummy the first time he woke then the second he wouldn't take it so I had to contact nap with him until we got up a couple hours later (I didn't sleep while he was sleeping on me in our bed, but I know lots of mums do!)
