Ds is 3y10m.
I'm on maternity leave with a now 9mo but ds has kept his pre sibling routine of 1.5 days with gran, 2.5 days at nursery (I worked 4 days). This arrangement has been in place since ds was 6mo (except lockdowns).
In the last month ds has become really anxious about leaving me. I can't get to the bottom of it. It started as upset at nursery drop off, which we thought was caused by his best friend hitting him (ds hits back and nursery are dealing with it as are we). But now I can't leave him anywhere without upset - including at his grans house where he's always been really happy.
He also often says he wants me to sleep with him all night. We don't co sleep and haven't for years.
Is this just a common phase at this age? Maybe linked to the older kids leaving preschool for school? The not very new baby?
Any advice, suggestions, similar stories welcome.
