I can't believe I'm asking this but DD will start preschool in Jan (funding and relocation kicking in). They encourage a sort of lite version of the school uniform, the more casual/comfortable bits in the right colours, and as we are hoping she will be going on to reception here I am happy to go along with this. Of course she may not get in but school has up to now been undersubscribed and we are within eyesight of it so definitely in catchment. Confident enough to buy a few items of clothing from the supermarket, anyway, as will pick things that can be used more generally just in case.
My question is am I better buying stuff now while it's all over the shops and on offer? It's not a standard uniform colour and DD will also need the smallest sizes unless she leaps about three centile lines in the next 5 months. Or is it just something that will perpetually be in stock in the supermarkets? I've never taken any notice before!
Obviously for starting reception we'll be able to get stuff over next summer and also make use of the school supplier for logo items, but I would like her to start the idea of wearing a version of the uniform from Jan. She will only be going for 2.5 days so won't need much. It's just a case of when to buy!
