Follow solid starts on insta or visit their site or app. Dont worry about teeth their gums are hard, things like well cooked brocoli spears, wedges of avocado, steamed green beans are all great. Or big resistive food like stripped chicken legs or mango pits are great to help baby figure out their mouth in a way melty sticks never will

Toast
Cooked veg
Pancakes
Strips of ham
Banana
Cooked chicken
Meatballs
Hard boiled eggs

Pretty much anything cut up into pieces. Not honey or alcohol.

My eldest grabbed a chunk of granary baguette off me 2 days into pure weaning, and never went back to purées - have a read up on Baby Led Weaning

What are you eating? As long as you've got a decent diet, chunks of whatever you're having is excellent for weaning, sociability, and easy prep.

Like people said above - anything really! Their gums are pretty hard so no need to worry about teeth. Just make sure that things like fruit and vegetables are cut into something approximately the length and width of your finger and is soft enough that you can squish it between your fingers. You can also make things like omlette with a variety of flavourings and serve it in slices.

Fish fingers
Cheese cubes
Crumpet
Falafels
Tortellini and Ravioli
Cut up grapes and olives

We used to keep DS occupied in restaurants/cafes by ordering him a bowl of peas.

I made my little boy veggie fingers but didn't turn it how I hoped so brought shop ones 🤣 spaghetti cooked with a stock cube to give it flavour, he's now ten months old and tonight he had bbq ribs and chips. I arlos found sweet potato fries were a good one

These are great finger food ideas but I wouldn't recommend them as first ones for a 6 month old, especially not cheese cubes, grapes, olives.

I'd echo PP. Follow Solid Starts the most amazing resource for weaning. And the app will show you the safest way to serve and food depending on babies age.
