Boiled water in fridge

If I put boiled cooked water in fridge, can I reuse the same bottle to store more cooked boiled water within 24 hours? Bottle sterilised will it stay sterile for 24 hours to keep refreshing the water?

If your child is over 6 months you can give tap water as a drink

@dementedpixie baby under six months..this is me thinking about making formula by mixing boiling water to kill the bacteria in powder with cooled boiled water to get it to desired temperature. People have recommended this method to me so just wondering if I can use the same bottle to store the cooled boiled water in after I've used it within 24 hours

You can but one thing to be aware of with doing that method is using the right amount of water, you need to use a measured amount not just top up to say 6 fl oz once the powder is added.

Thanks yes someone did make me aware of this: that's why I'm wondering about reusing the bottles as I'm going to measure in them so will only be a couple ounces at a time...so would be a shame if couldn't refill with more water
