Which double buggy for baby + toddler?

Need your help wise mumsnetters... when our second baby is born, DD will be almost 2. I'm going to get a double buggy, does anyone have any recommendations?

My front runner so far is Uppababy vista which looks really flexible - i like the option of various combos e.g. bassinet+toddler seat, 2x toddler seat, single seat or single bassinet as required. I think i'd prefer the "one up one down" type buggy to side-by-side so that it's not so wide on the pavement.

DD is on the tall side for her age - just about in the "right" age clothes but moves up quickly, ie. moved from 12-18month clothes to 18-2 years at about 17 months. We expect the second will be similar, as DP and i are tall. If that affects anyone's thoughts about longevity of use!

DH and I are both tall (6' and 6'7) and we got an uppa baby vista when our second was born. We have a 2 year age gap.

I LOVE that pram.

It was fantastic as a double, it's great now as a single. We only used it as a double for 6 months and then eldest was able to use a buggy board.

It's a great pram.

Thanks for your reply! A lot of people seem to LOVE it! Seen a few "reluctant sales now the kids are too old for it" on ebay etc!
