Baby Clothing Size Question

Hi,

I have an almost 9 month old DS and he is quite tall and already wearing bodysuits in size 2 to 3 years. Nowhere seems to sell bigger bodysuits so after he grows out of them I'm going to have to move to tops and shorts/trousers and my question is regarding the next size up. Am I right in thinking I need to buy t-shirts in size 3 to 4 years for after the bodysuits or does the sizing not actually work like that and I should be buying size 1 to 1.5 years or 1.5 to 2 years etc etc? I buy most of the clothes from Asda if that makes a difference.

Any advice appreciated. Many thanks.

I don't really know the answer to your question, but I'd take a bodysuit that fits him into the shop and size up the tshirts next to it for an idea.

Logically, I'd day if he's wearing 2 to 3 years now in the body suit I'd be looking at 3-4 years tshirts. However, it would depend on how the bodysuits are too small - for example my 8 month old has long legs, so I'd size up the legs.

You can buy extenders if it's the length that is too small, that should give you some more time. We use them as we use cloth nappies so often need to size up.

I think it depends on his proportions - my wee one is long legged but his torso isn’t as long

Take him shopping and try on the clothes to see if they fit?
