Peeling rash - please help

Am booking in with HV/GP Monday (tomorrow).

My son developed a rash where his skin periodically peels off and then the process repeats. Have already been to GP but this was before the peeling started and she said eczema but I don't think eczema causes this peeling (I've researched a lot). Scarlet fever can cause peeling but not on the belly. Any ideas? Photos attached but these aren't the worst it has been. He is 4 months old and has been well in himself and we've not noticed any fever.

Not sure on the rash but his belly looks very distended. What are his nappies like?

I'd go back to the GP if I were you

Yes went to the GP a few days ago but am going back Monday when they are open like I said.

Nappies are good, agreed about tummy. Can't imagine it is related though as he has had that since birth. Have brought it up to HV previously and she says normal although I was sceptical.
