cloth nappies and tights

I know baby clothes tend not to fit so well over cloth nappies, does anyone know if this is also the case with baby tights? My baby girl has been given some lovely little dresses and I will need to get her some tights, do I get the appropriate size for her age? I assume so otherwise legs will be too long, does the body part stretch ok over big bums? thanks

Tinkertogs do some tights sized for cloth nappies. Here.

I use normal sized tights on dd1, and havent had a problem so far. They are very stretchy.
Using MEOs btw, so quite bulky.

How about these?

i've not had a problem with tights or leggings over cloth. the leggings looked very skinny fit but both stretch no bother.

I've not had any problems with normal sized tights. Have also got a couple of pairs of babylegs from Snugglebum nappies (there's a link in the business ads) which I use if I've got a pretty wrap on that needs to be shown off

Oh I haven't renewed my ad so it's not there anymore nappymad I love babylegs though, find them great for nappy changes and when DS2 is in sling as it tends to pull his trousers up and leave bare legs that get cold

Any tights with a gusseted back will be fine such as Bright Bots ones.

MrsBadger · 26/01/2008 18:41

I had no prob with normal tights from eg Tesco or Adams

FlameNFurter · 26/01/2008 18:57

I had some pixie legs made for DS for halloween, but he wouldn't keep the bloody things on

Really should list babylegs on bumfluff at some point - I have em, just doing that telepathic "someone will magically know they are there and ask to buy some" thing, same with the bright bots terry squares!

CarGirl · 26/01/2008 19:03

I used normal tights but tended to find they fitted a smaller size for longer, but the bum part still fitted and stayed up fine. Dd4 and I lurve babylegs though, much quicker for nappy changes.

what about the feet with baby legs? Have already come to hate baby socks and scratch mittens for always falling off She's been in 0-3m mothercare tights but they are too big on the legs and feet yet. SOmeone is going to give me some smaller ones.

Gap socks stay on - worth the money

curlywurlycremeegg · 26/01/2008 21:57

I put the socks on first then babylegs over the top, seems to keep the socks in place
