Spooks easily

My baby is 12 weeks and recently has been jumping/spooked more frequently. It happens when she’s on her playmat, almost as if she’s concentrating really hard on the hanging toys and then when there’s a loud noise in the house etc she jumps and cries.

Is this normal? Assuming it’s just her becoming more alert

Yes my DS was exactly the same at that age. A sneeze absolutely terrified him and even things like shutting the washing machine door made him jump. We deliberately made noise and laughed with him about it..now he seems to like it when we try to scare him with loud roar noises.
