Rear facing comfortable seat for big toddler

Are there any seats that are bigger/wider ? Our current one is for up to 18kg/4 yes approx but toddler is quite short but wide and heavy (2 yrs 16kg) It’s just not comfortable and when getting the straps tight enough to be safe it’s cutting into legs.

I want to keep rear facing for as long as possible can anyone recommend a roomy seat that might be better?

One of the Axkidd ones would probably suit. You can chart his predicted hight and weight on his red book and see how long it's likely to last. My dd is big and tall, she's also has very upright posture and a long back so didn't last as long as the chart said.

What seat do you currently have...?

I have Axkid Moves for my two, one is 3.5 and the other is 2.5, they seem very comfortable in them

Another recommendation for Axkid, great seats.

Currently a joie spin. The weight limit is ok as it’s 18kg but it seems a small seat but then dd is little but wide so that’s probably not helping I will have a look at axkid seats Thankyou !

My ds (over 98th centile) was in an axkid minikid till 5.5, when he hit 25kg. Would have lasted longer height wise.
