Carpet burns - new crawler

Hi,

Can anyone advise how to minimise carpet burns for my baby - if she crawls for 5mins her little knees and feet are red :( . She is wearing shorts at the minute for the temperature, when she's had trousers on she has been ok.

Or is it a case of smothering in sudocrem before bed?

Shes ok in the mornings, I just want to try and prevent anything happening.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Is your carpet/rug quite rough? You could maybe put a big bed sheet/duvet cover down to cover the carpet.

Ummmm don’t let her crawl on rough surfaces?! Put down a mat / rug etc that’s soft enough or put her in trousers

Not that rough (I don't think) but good idea about a bedsheet or something as its something I have and only a short term issue.
