Can anyone recommend washable nappes for my 18 month old

I've started using washables with my 3 month old DS and they're great, we use the mothercare smartnappy. but they don't go up big enough for my 18 month old DS. I can get tommee tippee cotton bottoms at a great price so wonder if anyone has an opinion on those, but any others that come recommended would be good.

Hope someone can help, we're going through loads of disposables and i'm trying to be more aware of the environment, and save some money too.

There are loads you could try.
Have a look on Babykind as the advantages and disadvantages they write are great.
Have you thought about pocket nappies?
I love fuzzis as i have never had a leak (apart from when MIL didnt do the tight enough)

I wouldn't do the cotton bottoms - but I am a bit anti prefolds in general apart from as boosters/dusters.

Pockets would probably be easier with an 18 month old - they tend to be more willing to wear them than suddenly bunging them into 2 piece shaped nappies.

I have found prefolds to be very easy, economical and absorbant for my 21 month old. I 'boy fold' them and use them with a bambino Meo wrap.

you will need to change every 3 hours or so, and boost +++++ at night.
