Newborn CMPA poo? (Pics)

I’m wondering if my EBF 4 week old has CMPA. He’s often really unsettled, has fussy feeds with lots of unlatching, very windy, has a rash/bad case of baby acne on his face, neck & upper back, is quite refluxy (substantial vomits although not every feed - feel like it’s maybe just a normal amount when he overeats?), congested nose/breathing and this is what his poo looks like - is this a mucus poo?

However, he’s not unsettled everyday. He has contented days too (when he’s slept lots). There’s definitely a bit of correlation with being unsettled and overtired. He’s also gaining weight well.

I don’t know if this is all normal newborn behaviour for some babies or if I should be worried?

Has he been checked for tongue tie?
The unlatching , windy and fussy could be that?
Or possibly reflux my boy has silent reflux and is very grumpy during and after feeds, quite a bit of spit up but is almost never sick.

Poo looks normal to me.

Doesn't explain the rash though so could be CMPA? Would definitely discuss with your doctor. I'm a FTM and jeez its hard to know what's normal and what's not!!!

@Nat888 Yeah he's been checked for tongue tie and he's fine. When he latches, he latches really well.

My baby had CMPA and poo looked similar, but when he was having a flare up it would have a really sour/vinegar smell to it. My other child did not have CMPA and his poo smelled like apricot yogurt. I do second the questions about tongue tie though.

I also don’t have any pain when breastfeeding and nipples look fine when he unlatches so really don’t think it’s tongue tie.

I dont have any experience with CMPA so it could be that but of no tongue tie the symptoms sound more like silent reflux to me - but I am in no way any expert.
Would chat to your HV see what they think.
