Assignment help: You know when they split the marks up and say 25% for his section & you only write 75 words instead of 250, Is that wrong?

I mean I think I answered the question but I'm out of proportion & very short on words

Help?

I would have another look at it if they expect 250 words you might be missing something or just not giving enough info.

Damn that's what i thought - I am about 40% down on the word count - but it's one of the best things I have ever written (IMO)

I hate assignments with a word count

You will only lose so many marks for being under the word count but I think you will lose more for not answering adaquatleltyeye (you know what I mean) because you are so under on the words, they must be looking for more.

The preliminary investigation covered a number of matters
? The extent of the responsibility and authority to be delegated.
? The business, personal skills and qualifications required of the post holder.
? A review of the capacities of my existing staff in relation to the above parameters.
? Finally, a comparison of these skills to what might be available by external recruitment.

What do you think - it should be 200 words

Have you used lots of evidence, refered to it, quoted it and cited it?

If you have only one or two alternative options you could add here perhaps or just compare them more. Or give more reasons why you would go for one option.

The most marks are for the investgation so make sure you can show you have investigated .

Hard to do this when I don't have a clue what it is about. I have a 2000 word event plan to do this month for Uni with loads of stuff to find and write to put in the appendix including a full risk assesment. Plus read all the course work for this module and do 8 activities/ mini assignments.

KatyMac · 20/01/2008 22:10

I rewrote it & sent it off to the assessor who sent it back

I hope you have better luck with yours

Aw what did the assesor say? What is it you are studying?

I got my marks back for my first one 60%, which I thought was rubbish but the pass mark was 40% and they were really pleased with it for a first year, first assignment. Second one is being marked at the moment, was difficult we had to do a section of a training manual.

KatyMac · 21/01/2008 08:03

"You do nto very clearly cover the assessment criteria by name. In the first section for example, you need to cover the second assessment criterion, by saying very briefly, what the assignment is going to be about. The, the same is true for succeeding sections"

Which I'm not realy sure I understand
