Has anyone had any experience with PRT (Pivotal Response Treatment)

If so were they good or bad experiences?

It is supposed to be a type of speech and language therapy but through play?

Any and all experiences would be great to hear

Yes we did this for a couple of years. It's hard to know how much it was helpful and how much was natural language development, It was expensive but I would do it again. We found it very useful for giving us ideas and a framework for how to play with and engage our child. It is something we learned to incorporate into everyday interactions, so while we did a couple of sessions a week with a therapist, we also learned how to do it ourselves.

We wanted something that was child-led, so sometimes it was hard work for us but it was always fun for our child and it made us much better at playing with them if that makes sense?
