Chicken pox and holiday pending

So my 20 month old has been miserable with a slightly raised temperature the last few days, today she’s showing spots. We go on holiday a week on Tuesday. Assuming it is chicken pox, what are the chances we’ll be ok by then- how long do they take to scab?
Her elder sister has had it, I’ve had it, my husband thinks he’s had it.

They'll still be infectious by Tuesday.

Ignore me - you said a week on Tuesday! IME you'll be fine by then!

By a week on Tuesday she should be fine. Some children in my class have had it recently and have been back within a week.

Should be fine by then.

She should be fine. Both my children had it recently and only needed a week off school. Head and shoulder classic shampoo in the bath makes them dry up quicker and scab over Smile

Thank you- you’ve given me hope!

So sorry to jump on the end of your thread! I do really hope everything will be ok for you guys. I can’t seem to figure out how to start my own chat but does this look like chicken pox to anyone? He also has one on his bum cheek, his skin is quite sensitive and he’s been in the garden all day, he’s also been snotty and slightly off his food for a few days too. Any advice would help! My anxiety is through the roof as we go away in 2.5 weeks so panicked if it is my DD with get it just before we go away..
